Challenge Day 23

Sunflare

I teach preschool children who are deaf and hard of hearing.
Don't get me wrong. I LOVE teaching children
But every (not-so) great once in a while
I arrive home with my patience tank on almost empty.
Such as today.
Josh picked me up
(we carpool. we're just that cute)
I mumbled something along the lines of "not ready to talk"
turned the radio off and reclined the chair.
And remained silent for at least the first 30% of our car ride home.

this is a typical Monday afternoon.
I lead a glamorous life, people.

Life gets much better when I get to take some photos near the end of the day.
I find it somewhat relaxing.
Although I was somewhat frustrated with sunflare today.
Like I said, my patience tank was empty and I was ready to curl up in bed and sleep for the night.

Want to know something else fun?
I think the "B" key on my computer is on it's way out.
Bummer.
I got a long way to save before (it just took me 4 tries to get that b) I get me my Macbook Pro.

Anyhow! Here is my photo today.

Anyone recognize the handsome model??
You got it!
Frank!!
Hehe.

Just jokin, but I do think he is one mighty fine lookin cactus.

Here are a few others from our miniature shoot.

work clothes hubby

taking modeling tips from Frank. reliable source.

I think his patience tank may have been low as well.

It's 103 degrees today.
Seriously.
For real.

It is one of the 15 out 365 days I am jealous of my Illinois peeps.

I am so incredibly ready for Fall.
Bring on the pumpkins, cooler weather, and hot drinks!
Pumpkin spice latte anyone?

Challenge Day 14

Eyes

I'm a day late.
But if all goes as planned, I will have a second post later today for Day 15.

I had fun with eyes.
His beautiful blue eyes were the first thing I noticed when we met.

And I told him that. And he thought I was creepy.
But endearing.
Story of my life.

But anyways. I'm considering this my first professional photo shoot.
Even if I am paid in kisses.
It just so happens kisses are one of my favorite currencies.

Here are some of the oopsie daisies:
sensitive eyes

creepy dark

"Wifey, why do you make me lay on the ground?"

"Seriously, wife. Too bright"

Squinty eyes. Those are his favorite to make :)

He was right. It was a little bright which made it PERFECT for practicing some sun glare shots.
That's right. I'm using fancy photo terms now.
silly werewolf hubby.

loyal Bears fan. Bear Down!

He may be missing too much of his head. But it's ok. I still like.

Then there is the infamous "laid back shot"

But here is my favorite photo from the day

He is genuinely good looking, don't ya think?
Even in a horribly orange shirt.
That's right. I said it.
I love the Bears, but I also appreciate the fact that blue is probably their main color for a good reason.

Putting all my photos up is super vulnerable, I've realized.
Especially if I say I am proud of them.
(BUT what if you're not proud of them??)
I feel like I need to justify why I am proud of them.
So I will do that today.

1. 95% of these were done on manual
2. I played with the white balance
3. None of these are cropped. Yay for rule of thirds naturally!
4. I laid on the ground to get sun glare (I would like to call it sun flare from now on...I feel it is more glamorous).

Laying on the ground is pretty much the definition of commitment.

I am SO ready for senior portraits, right?

Challenge Day 9

Someone You Love.

He stole my heart. I stole his last name.

(I wish that was original. But it's not. If you do want to believe it's originally from me, I'll let you)

My hubs sees his dad when he looks at this photo.
I see his happy lines. By his eyes. That's one of my favorite things about him.

We went to install a new printer for my grandma and her boyfriend.

He is pretty photogenic, right?

I know this is about people.
But you know what else I love?
Things that are absolutely ridiculous.
You can't see but the front tires have spikes.

You're welcome.

Although I am not sure this picture does the ridiculousness justice.
It really was though.
Trust me.

Challenge Day 5

High Angle

I don't mean to brag but I have just about doubled my amount of followers.
That's right.
DOUBLED.
I've gone from 4 to 7.
I didn't start this to get more followers, but I'm not gonna lie.
I'm pretty stoked about the increase.

AND for all you stalkers, I don't know who you are, but I can see how many people come to see my site. And I enjoy the fact (and find comfort)
that there are a decent amount of people who are as sneaky and stalkerish as me.

So here is my photo. I'm not sure if this is a high enough angle? But I like him. I think he is nice looking. Also, I cheated. This picture was taken on Sunday. But tonight is Thursday coffee date night with this fine young thing below and I gotta scadaddle.

I will take this chance to brag on him. He started, what we will call for all general and convenient purposes, principal school.

I adore this hard worker.
