Confession...

Not only have I begun DVRing all the Newlywed Game Shows, but we also will sit and play along with the contestants. Our own pen and paper and everything.

In the words of Josh, "We dominate the first two rounds, it's that last two- part bonus question that gets us every time."  We have yet to win, but I assure you that if we ever get on the show it will be a different story.

Married life is pretty dorky, yet fantastic all at the same time.

Grown ups? Are you sure?

Here are the top 10 reasons were adults, not in any particular order:

10. We have a puppy. Were allowed to be in charge of another living things life.

9. Josh is a teacher, he is going to teach 3rd graders. By himself. Noone is going to help him. Oh and he is 25. That just sounds mature.

8. I'm a teacher. People are putting me in charge of childrens educations. Particularly children who are itty bitty 4 year olds and have a hard time hearing.

7. We're married and could have babies if we wanted and no one would say what about it.

6. We moved to Arizona by all by ourselves.

5. We're going to travel overseas somewhere fun all by ourselves next summer.

4. We can stay up as late as we want. Although we are pretty responsible and I'm not going to lie, I like my sleep.

3. We do things like talk about which dental insurance to have and then actually fill out the paperwork to do it.

2. I go grocery shopping and plan menus for the week.

1. (I may or may not have put this one in a particular order and saved it for last) We put an offer in on a house and could very well be homeowners by December, or maybe even sooner.

This is ridiculous. From what I have been hearing from people who I have always viewed as adults, you never really feel like one. I am getting this memo super late because I cannot get over the fact that we make more than 75 dollars a paycheck and could potentially be buying a house. I'm not quite sure when you become a grown up. Is it when you graduate college? When you get your first grown up job? When you buy a house? Or when you have your first baby? When you turn 25? Or is it just a random day you wake up and suddenly you feel like a grown up?  Hm. We have experienced a majority of these and are running out of things to experience and finally feel like grown ups. Maybe all the grown ups are right and it won't ever happen.

But this being a "technical adult" thing is a lot of fun, as you can see from the list above. But it is pretty scary sometimes as well. God has been doing some big things and this is only the first year or two of "adultdom", if you will. We love all the adventures God has taken us on and are excited to see where He brings us to next.

This might be our house by the way! I call it "Our maybe home"
